The VR Challenger League aims to be the first esports league solely dedicated to virtual reality.
The Electronic Sports League (ESL), Oculus VR and Intel have joined forces to launch the VR Challenger League. It’s a virtual reality game focused esports league which will host a series of events across both North America and Europe. The finale will be held at next year’s Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Katowice. The stakeholders have announced a pricepool of more than $200,000.
Two VR games will be played in the league, Insomniac’s wizard duell game The Unspoken and Ready at Dawn’s team-based action title Echo Arena. Both games are published by Oculus.
You can find more informations about the event and the games at the official website of the VR Challenger League.
