Paradox aims to create a broad catalog of mobile games. The small team in Malmo will focus on deep and challenging hardcore strategic titles.
Strategy expert Paradox Interactive, the publisher of Stellaris, has opened a new studio in Malmo, Sweden. Its small team of game industry veterans will focus solely on mobile development to create deep, challenging experiences.
“Paradox is committed to exploring new territory in mobile game development, and I’m eager to lead that charge,” said Kim Nordström the company’s Senior Vice President of innovation and mobile.
“Our plan is to bring the iconic Paradox style to mobile players across a broad catalog of titles. To achieve that, it’s important that we bring aboard the right people – people capable of delivering the kind of hardcore strategic titles we’re known for on PC. Games like Prison Architect: Mobile are just the beginning!”
The company chose Malmo due to its vibrant development community. In the coming months, Paradox will look for new talents for its teams in both the new studio and the mobile publishing division in Stockholm.
