This May, the Nordic Game conference will kick off once again in Malmö, Sweden. The event’s Indie Day was replaced by a Discovery Day.
The organizers behind the Nordic Game conference have announced new prominent speakers. During a pannel session, Fumito Ueda, the creator of The Last Guardian, will meet David Polfelt, CEO of Massive, the studio behind The Division. The conference will run from May 17 to 19 in “Slagthuset”, Malmö, Sweden.
Overall, over 30 speakers will attend at this years conference, including four developers of Playdead’s indie hit Inside. Their talk “Huddle Up! Making the Spoiler of INSIDE” will open the conference. They aim to give insights in their unique development process.
Furthermore, the event’s Nordic Game Indie Day was replaced by the Discovery Day. Both developers and partners are convinced that the title “indie” is kind of divising. The day is rather ment to bring developers together. Still, the main focus will remain on innovative and artistic ways of game development.
The Nordic Game Discovery Day resulted from a close collaboration between the events organisers and the Copenhagen Game Collective. It will take place on the show’s last day, Friday, May 19th. Tickets for the Discovery Day are available for €59. There is no entrance fee for attendees of the conference. For more informations, have a look at the official website.
